![]() ![]() The dish was flavorful, though I couldn't distinguish the seafood from all the other ingredients the chef determined this recipe needed. I started my meal with one of the daily specials a Ceviche served with tortilla chips. Our waiter tried to come across as being efficient, however, his rushed and broken English was so bad, I could have used subtitles as he recited the specials. The dining room is large and noisy and since you are sitting in these cubes, surrounding patrons can be disturbing and offer little privacy for intimate conversation. Everything is so square and doesn't seem to be a place one would like to forget a hard day in the office. Booth seating at Costal reminded me a of a "cube farm" at work. All seemed to be having a good time nevertheless. The bar was packed this evening as patrons cheered on the losing Redskins. The atmosphere at Costal is dark, with a nautical/sea theme going on. Upon our arrival at 8 p.m., we were greeted and seated by two hostesses who seemed to be worn out from seating earlier diners. This spacious restaurant features seafood, with a few land-lover selections on the menu. I recently had dinner with a friend at Costal Flats in Fairfax. ![]()
